Lando: Double or Nothing continues to be a fun romp that has me hopeful that we'll be getting more stories of him and Ellthree in our future to showcase more of him from this era. I really dug the previous Lando series that was pre-ANH so getting more of his younger years is definitely enticing. What I want is for it to fit more into the larger context, even as I enjoy the discovery of new worlds and people here. It's not so much that I want it to be super-connected to everything but I want to feel like it really does exist within the larger context that I'm not quite getting here. Coincidences are problematic but touching upon events in the larger universe could give it all a bit more weight and character shaping. Read Full Review
The enjoyment of this series, particularly this issue, rests squarely on the shoulders of Lando and the readers' enjoyment of the character. Luckily, writer Rodney Barnes gives audiences all the things they love about the character, from his recollections of lascivious behavior to his captivating speeches that make the captives feel like anything is possible. Lando's cockiness might be getting a little out of hand. Its cool to see him show some leadership though.
