Written by Jeremy Whitley and drawn by Bayleigh Underwood, Strange Tales #1 is a delightful introduction to this series. Its especially a must-read for fans of Scarlet Witch, Wiccan/Hulkling, and Nico/Karolina (which is probably just a fully overlapping circle if were being real) who receive a major spotlight here, but solicits for future issues tease Ghost-Spider, Doctor Strange (duh), and Shuri, reflecting the anthology nature of this titles original run as aforementioned. Its spooky, but not scary, so those who may wince at Marvel Zombies can rest easy. Its more Jumanji than Friday the 13th. Underwoods art indicates as much, with a playful, youth-skewing aesthetic that looks great on the page with Jim Campbells colors. If youre in the mood for a Halloweeny superhero romp, then you cant go wrong with this first issue of Strange Tales. Read Full Review
