Now, if this issue only contained the Avengers story, it's an EASY perfect score. Probably one of the easiest perfect scores I've given out all year. The story was PURE 80's Avengers perfection. I mean you can tell Gage KNOWS those Avengers characters! It was literally like picking up one of my old Avengers trades or back issues and reliving a past story! That's how good this issue was! This story " this series " is part "Marvel Team-Up," part "Avengers Forever" and every bit the entertaining type of tale you deserve to find in your summer comics. Of course, if the price point drives you away, or the story itself seems a little too conveniently measured out for you to not wait for the trade, well then it'll still be a great story that you deserve in your whatever-time-of-the-year reading. Each full-length story in this book tells an enjoyable story, but neither is entirely captivating. Some details don't quite ring true like why Tony jumps around the past Quantum Leap-style, but, as it seems that the journey will be more important than the destination in this series, perhaps it doesn't matter.
