I was at work on a dull Friday (which happened to be Friday the 13th) and it was raining. I was battling a small head cold, but I couldnt go home early because my boss was leaving me in charge until closing. Then I remembered what I had stuck into my bag to read at my lunch hour and things got better. Oh, how The Wonderful Wizard of Oz can make everything better again, from skinned knees to crappy days at work. The way I see it, if you havent at least seen the movie then your parents raised you wrong. But, all those who hate watching movies or reading real books must worry no more for Marvel has given you a gift. This is an amazing comic adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Reading it kind of makes you feel six years old again. Seriously, even the cranky old guy who lives a few houses down and gives me dirty looks when I wash my car in front of the house could not help but smile if he read this. Read Full Review
But I did mention a flaw, didn't I? Frankly, I'm beginning to notice that this story isn't especially well suited to the monthly format. The issues tend to just end without much fanfare and then pick right up the next month. This certainly doesn't diminish the many high points of Oz, but I really think the trade will prove to be the ideal reading method for this series. However you decide to read Oz, just make sure you do it. Read Full Review
