Overall, it's a great start. I'm not sure how it will end, and I'd hate for there just to be another bloodbath like Ultimate Avengers 3, but I can say I very much enjoyed this first issue. Read Full Review

I'm interested to see where Mark Millar and Leinil Yu take Avengers vs. New Ultimates. The issue had a great setup and hook to get me back next month, even with the lack of a Death of Spider-Man tie-in. In fact, if this series would just stay away from that event altogether, I might enjoy it even more judging from what I've seen thus far. Read Full Review

It's a slow, quiet start to the finale of Mark Millar's work on the Ultimates and its large cast, and to "The Death of Spider-Man," but it's also a good start. With a traitor inside SHIELD exposed, there's sufficient cause to begin five issues of mayhem and carnage. With Leinil Francis Yu's art looking better than ever, this could be one hell of a mini-series. Read Full Review

It's very bad. The story is confusing and the art is just meh... I like Leinil, maybe it's the colorist or the inker, but for some reason all characters look like they are some cheap 3D models from the low-budget game or animated movie, only drawn with a pencil. I mean the shadows and lightning on bodies are sooooo bad... The cover is actually really messed up too.

However, some moments were cool, I just want this story to get better.
