The art is generally problematic in this issue. Given that this is the second issue of USM to ship this month, it's not terribly surprising to see a rushed quality to both Sara Pichelli and David Lafuente's work. Lafuente's art in particular is much more loose and haphazard than usual. Add in a third artist with Elena Casagrande and the issue just loses any sense of visual consistency. Assuming either artist intends to return to the book after "Death of Spider-Man," let's hope the hiatus offers plenty of time to work ahead. In any case, with Chris Samnee filling in next issue and Mark Bagley returning for the big event, visual consistency shouldn't be a problem going forward. This prelude has done a fine job of building towards "Death of Spider-Man", and the series continues to be the Ultimate book most worth keeping an eye on. Read Full Review

We all know what this creative team is capable of, but, unfortunately they just don't live up to it in this issue. Read Full Review
