Bruce Banner has been presumed dead. But when reports start cropping up of an unidentified creature appearing around the globe, Nick Fury begins to get worried. Fury turns to the only man he can trust: Wolverine.
Critique: Let me just say that the splash on pages 2 and 3 and the significance of it are well worth the cost of the issue, unless Marvel backs away and somehow makes this a non-event. (If you havent seen the advance images, youll be totally blown away! If its already been spoiled, its still worth the price of the issue even if there wasnt anything else in the issue!) While the issue is long on dialogue and scant on action (sans the image already mentioned), I think it does well to set up what has to be ultimately done. Lets hope that Marvel treats this storyline as a part of the continuum that wont just fade away. Read Full Review

This is a good looking comic, and a pretty strong writing debut from Lindelof; I'm keen to see more, but this first issue hasn't done anything to divest me of my concerns regarding the series' content and substance. I hope to be proved wrong. Read Full Review
My Word: I do think Ill love the series as a whole, just not this one, not right now. My craving for blood for this issue made me use 2 of the 4 Bullets on an innocent pedestrian (just kidding) which I would have added to the total otherwise. Read Full Review
