Werewolf By Night: Blood Hunt #1 is entirely unexpected. It’s one of the most shocking additions to the event so far. None of the other tie-ins or the main book are this bleak and relentless. It’s a monster on monster on monster brawl with unsuspecting humans in the middle. Read Full Review

All of this ultraviolence is rendered in glorious color by Alex Sinclair. The sunny skies of Arizona soon give way to the cold, bluish-black energies of the Darkforce Dimension. The only thing that stands out in this darkness is Jake's snow white fur and the buckets of blood he spills, as well as Joe Sabino's sand-colored captions. Even if this is a bit of a rocky start, it's still a start and hopefully the new ongoing keeps those elements in the forefront. Read Full Review
Events are explained as they proceed leaving no space for tension or curiosity to develop as every page turn announces "and then this happened." Combine that with artwork that suffers a number of minor inconsistencies before delivering the issue's only effective horror panel at its very, and you're left with a one-shot that seems already prepared to be forgotten. A solid little one-shot. Nothing extraordinary here, but I thought everything was good for what it was. I was fairly interested in Jake's character, though it's a little ironic considering Loo's new Werewolf by Night series that follows this is supposed to be about Jack Russell instead.
