Art was good. Claremont article/interview at the end probably the better read however.
Tom Reilly is one of my favourite current artists and Claremont needs no explanation, yet somehow the magic doesn't happen.
While I found the writing to be well done (if not OVER written) I just didn’t feel like there was any point to the story. It’s obviously “out of continuity” and that would be fine if this was a light fun story of a lost X-Men adventure, but that’s what is going on here. Claremont is laying down the groundwork for some later Kitty Pryde turn … maybe it happened … maybe it didn’t … I just couldn’t be bothered to care. Apparently this is a reprint of a one-shot Claremont wrote in 2021 … again … nothing to really care about, unless you are an X-Completist.
