  Peter David continues to weave a web; setting up new plot threads while inter-cutting between difference scenes. Right now, PAD is my favorite writer – he keeps the pages turning with ease while dropping in a mix of humorous and serious dialogue that has come to make X-Factor my current favorite comic book. There just isn't any other book like this, and if you're not currently reading X-Factor, issue 233 is a great place to jump aboard. Leonard Kirk's art is also great fun, but David Yardin's covers continue to steal the show. Read Full Review

  This issue of X-Factor is enjoyable on a number of levels. The new direction for the title follows smartly on the tail of Madrox's journey through the multiverse, a new status quo is established for the new incarnation of X-Factor, and a menacing new villain is introduced. The script suffers from a lack of a central driving force, though, and the overall experience seems slightly less substantial than readers may be expecting from David. The artwork is laudable in most aspects, but there are a few technical details that may detract from the enjoyment of readers who focus on the book's art. These flaws aren't enough to derail the comic to an appreciable degree, however, and readers should be very excited with the future that this issue foreshadows. Read Full Review

  It's nice to see "X-Factor" finally moving forward again, but after months of teasing, it feels like we should be a bit further along. "X-Factor" is at its worst when the pace slows down, so hopefully we're finally getting beyond that now. Read Full Review

  This issue feels like a rare misstep from Peter David; X-Factor is one of the more consistently entertaining books from Marvel. Still, there are a few nice moments in the issue, and it does lay the ground for a good conflict between Multiple Man on one side and Polaris and Havok on the other. A mediocre Peter David issue is still generally better than most, but unfortunately, my dissatisfaction with the art drags the final grade down a touch. X-Factor #233 rates an average two and a half out of five stars. Read Full Review
