It's the end of the road for Nemesis and Chief of Police Blake. Who will end on top?
Visually, McNiven delivers. Hes not the goriest artist either. Instead, he has a fine control over the characters faces and designs and goes for the maximum wide panel format as if this comic book was indeed a film. Its a better trick than relying outfight on splash pages to tell a story as he can actually have many major shots in a single page. However, it doesnt make for the best laid out and well flowing story. Its a bunch of mini splash pages strung together as if they were a comic book. So, should you get the last issue of Nemesis? McNiven is the only reason to purchase this comic. Millars story is a disappointment to me, but if you are one of his fans you should enjoy the tale no matter where it leads. I say, skip it. Read Full Review
Not a “bad” comic, but very guilty of getting our mouths ready for something juicy and off-the-wall and then serving us a vanilla anticlimax of an ending. I do think that Millar and McNiven can go back to this universe in the future and tell some very fun stories now that the premise is out of the bag, but it made my reaction to the entire series into, “Awww, man! Italia - accade tutto, forse, troppo velocemente. Ma credo sia proprio voluta questa accelerazione-volata alla conclusione, proprio per esaltare il colpo di scena finale. È come se lo stesso Millar si fosse impersonificato con il vero boss e stia giocando con il commissario e con il lettore. Non me lo aspettavo proprio un finale così.
