PURPLE PART 3
Jessica must meet with Zebediah Killgrave, the man who nearly robbed her of everything, in prison. What will happen when Jessica comes face-to-face with the darkest chapter from her past?
All this, and the Purple Man face-off is still delayed till next issue. I'm getting a very Clarice/Hannibal feeling about this, not to mention Kira Nirees from DS9's "Duet." Ol' Purple is safely locked away; but he can still talk, and words have always been a weapon to Bendis. Read Full Review
This issue left me a bit flat as the big answer to the question that has acted as the "big" mystery in this series turns out to be Jessica got beat up real bad after she was tricked into getting in a fight with the Avengers, and as such she decided to quite the super-hero game. Nothing more than greatness. There are plenty of classic Marvel characters involved in this issue but it still remains solely a Jessica Jones story and now that we have cleared up her rocky past you can't help but love her character. The change in art occurs again when Jean Grey enters Jessica's head and that really works as well. This may go down as the great arc in the series if Bendis can keep the quality up.
The part where Jessica quit being a hero because the Avengers attacked her after she attacked Wanda was just stupid. Like, I couldn’t care about that at all. It was just all so stupid. The present day stuff with Jessica facing her past with Luke is good though
