Sketchy gambler Pauly Bones has slithered into Eddie's life with an offer - together they can turn the tables on the demon crime families and finally get what they deserve. Eddie and Pauly can't trust each other, though, and it's only a matter of time before one double crosses the other. But with a new hired killer in town, they might both be dead before they can make their treacherous plays.
The Damned would play just as well as a straight gangster noir story or straight occult demon story. The parallels drawn between demon-kind and mobsters are so natural and seamless it makes me wonder why no one has written this story until now. Read Full Review
Although one could argue the plot is reminiscent of a stereotypical gangster movie, The Damned has more than enough to pull you in. Eddie alone is a character you can't help but watch, wondering what move he'll make and how he'll survive in a town filled with monsters. With his signature scowl, I'm sure demons would hesitate before attacking him. He has good intentions, but he's still a gangster, and who doesn't love a good gangster story? Read Full Review
I feel like when it comes to this comic, I dont have all that much to say. Its a fun story with a fun world. Its a nice bit of optimism crossed with cynicism. It does things right. Good enough, as this guy I knew who ran a library would say. Read Full Review
