It was like any other morning, until it wasn't. Growing from the rural areas, it was a simple dog bite, but at the end of the day civilization was collapsing. The outbreak left people rabid, devoid of their humanity, left only with a violent rage. When an outbreak of a rabies-like virus devastates the world, it's a fight for survival in a world gone mad. Two couples set off on disparate courses, one for survival and one to save the world. Will a vaccine be found? Will the survivors make it to a safe place to hole up?
The comic nails its zombie roots with a fantastic build to those final moments. We learn about the characters in an organic way that flows though there's one bit that's a bit too much of a foreshadowing of what's likely coming. The comic nails the tense build as individuals barely escape and the mobs' swarm. It's exactly what fans of the genre will want and that's a good thing. The world is quickly descending into chaos as this new outbreak is leaving people rabid and extremely violent. Rabid World focuses on two couples on different paths. One couple fights for their survival and the other attempts to play a part in saving the world.
This terrifying cover is what initially drew me in and I’m glad it did. Rabid world’s debut issue was a good start to a new apocalyptic story. I’m always is more
