    SciFiPulse - Patrick Hayes Jan 7, 2016

This could be the most perfect Doctor Who comic ever created, and it's only the first part! If it continues to look like this, take all my money, Titan Comics! Highest possible recommendation. Read Full Review

Infinite Comix - Scott Morse Jan 10, 2016

This was a fantastic kick-off to the second year of the Twelfth Doctor. The same feeling of fun and adventure that was present in the first is now accompanied by a dark yet classic mystery that permeates through the story. This book was by far the strongest outing for the Twelfth Doctor in his four color universe and will leave readers clambering for the follow up second issue. It is not only a must read for Whovians but also a fantastic jumping on point for new readers. The bottom line: read this book! Read Full Review

Nerds Unchained - Jeremy Radick Jan 6, 2016

The whole issue does feel like the opening episode of one of a enjoyably scary story, and if it does come off as a spooky scene-setter and nothing more, the arc's overall effectiveness will be determined by future issues that establish what the scene is being set for. But for an opener, it's a ton of fun. Read Full Review

The new art team however, have certainly made a big difference to this book and are helping it kick off it's second year in style. There's a thrill and suspense in the story that is typically Who and I'm confident that the book won't disappoint anyone coming to it looking to fill in the void as they wait for the next series to roll round. We The Nerdy - Josh McCullough Jan 6, 2016

I was a huge fan of new artist Rachael Scott however. While there was some bumpiness towards the start in terms of pacing (with objects not really flowing well panel to panel, making me feel disorientated), it soon smoothed out, and more than made up for it in atmosphere. There's a real "Saturday evening television" feel to the comic, it gives me the same sort of feeling I get settling in to watch an episode of the show. The character models too look absolutely great, with Scott able to wring a great deal of charm and character out of them, bringing their full chemistry to the page, which should be a treat for fans. It's a style that really fits the book and one I'm excited to see more of. Read Full Review

Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor Year Two #1 may not have gotten this new series off to the outstanding start that it deserved, it most definitely gave us enough to return for a second outing. Introducing us to an intriguing premise, the creative team get things off to an excellent start, with the slow middle area being the only main area in which the issue failed to deliver.
