The loss of Paul Pelletier's pencils is also felt. Tom Raney makes for a decent replacement in this relatively quiet, dialogue-heavy story, but his use of perspective in the more action-oriented scenes is generally awkward. It's really Brian Ching's work in the backup feature that stands out in its style and power. The best that can be said about "Dark Son" so far is that readers only have to wait two weeks for the next chapter. Hopefully the arc will kick into gear by then. Read Full Review
While Pak will never get me to like the ridiculousness that is A-Bomb, he has put forth some interesting story beats with his Hulks storyline. Unfortunately, Reed's approaching tale of Hiro-Kala that threatens to intersect with Pak's does dampen my excitement quite a bit. But if anyone can pull a good story out of questionable material, it's Pak. Read Full Review
