Under normal circumstances, this book would be very difficult to recommend. Although the stories themselves may potentially be enjoyable, they are let down by some questionable writing and a mixed bag of art. If it were to cost $3.99 or even $2.99, I wouldn't think of giving it more than a passing glance; however, this issue only costs $1 digitally, and thus I would say that, if you want to read something a bit apart from the usual super hero-style fare (it is an interesting, if somewhat pleasant, change to actually read a book without even a single fight scene), you should head over to DriveThruComics.com and check out the preview file they have of the issue "" at the time of writing, it contains the entire first story. Have a look and, if it piques your interest, drop the dollar and buy the whole thing.
