Caught in the jaws of the Faraway! General Redacted has laid claim to the greatest secret in a time-lost dimension that’s practically built on ‘em. Must be a doozy, huh? Well, it’s big enough that Redacted and his army of alien greys are laying waste to anyone and anything that approaches their occupied lands of the Faraway. Now, it’s down to Archer & Armstrong to run the greatest infiltration/liberation/inebriation mission history has ever known, which would be a cakewalk if its wasn’t for all the UFOs, hostile natives and, of course, the dinosaurs. Yup, could definitely do without those dinosaurs.
If you enjoy any of Valiant's titles this should be on your list! Archer & Armstrong has ties across all Valiant books and the story and art literally comes alive on the page. If you want fun, action, adventure and a touch of social sensibility then put this on your pull list. You'll be glad you did. Read Full Review
There's only so many ways you can say "ARCHER & ARMSTRONG is a book more people should be reading." The truth is that while there are a ton of books on the shelves worth your time, ARCHER AND ARMSTRONG deserves it the most. It may not be what most people are used to with their comic book reading, but there is a great sense of familiarity with a dominant creative team putting this book together every month. This issue in particular was very exciting because it was non-stop action that remained witty and reintroduced someone awesome. Overall, I highly recommend this issue. Read Full Review
This gives the arc needed weight, making it more than just a romp where Perez gets to draw an army of "greys" ready to die for an American General or Armstrong launched from a catapult at a fleet of flying saucers. Knowing just how to place his characters to either heighten the drama or ramp up the comedy, Perez fits the bill for this highly recommended comic. Read Full Review
A year or so ago, when Valiant announced their new universe and their first handful of series, Archer & Armstrong was the cipher to me. I didn't know what to expect from it, but it has really impressed me. Keeping me coming back month after month. Pick this book up well because it's a great book. It had me laughing and just drew me in. I'm not just talking about this one issue but any Archer and Armstrong. Sure this issue needs at least one of the previous issues to tie some things in, but they're all worth checking out. This is my favorite ongoing out of the few I follow. Read Full Review
It's worth pointing out that a sub-par issue of "Archer & Armstrong" is still a fun comic; it's just not quite as good as what's been seen up until now. At the end of the day, it'll bring a smile to your face and you'll want to read more. But if this is your first issue, just understand this: it's normally even better.
