It's no surprise that this book continues to be completely and utterly awesome. ARCHER AND ARMSTRONG #9 is a super-satisfying end to a fantastic story. The opening page is incredibly funny, and the overall story is a ton of fun. The art is great and consistent throughout the issue, and there's no reason you shouldn't be reading this book.Overall, I highly recommend this issue. Read Full Review

This issue apparently had two artists, but I never noticed when one started and another stopped. Emanuela Lupacchino and Alvero Martinez divide up the issue seamlessly. Valiant is employing this whole multiple-artist-in-each-issue thing and the results can be varied. Here, it works just fine. Sometimes, it's a little hard to tell where the characters are positioned in a battle, but all in all things look great. Archer & Armstrong is, without a doubt, Valiant's best series. And that's sayin' something. Read Full Review

If this is your first issue of Archer & Armstrong then the payoff isn't as big for you as someone else that's read the entire series or arc, but that doesn't change the fact that it does a fine job of recapping everything for a new reader. The next issue is going to be another great opportunity to jump on the series, so if you've been curious you have time to catch up or just jump on. This is a fun series and I bet that it and Quantum and Woody will butt heads for Valiant's funniest title. Read Full Review

"Archer and Armstrong" continues to roll along as a fun title. It's not perfect, but it's still pleasant and the strengths outweigh the weaknesses. If you were only going to try one Valiant title, "Archer and Armstrong" is the comic you need make sure to read. Definitely take a look. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Minhquan Nguyen Apr 17, 2013

Van Lente never succeeded in getting me much attached to the characters, nor much invested in the story. There are more promising projects coming down the pike, which makes it easy for me to Drop this series for better things. Read Full Review
