BLOODSHOTcontinues to prove why it's my my go-to source for popcorn entertainment. This is yet another issue that's filled with shocking action, solid visuals and an overall narrative that's steadily inching along.Is it a flawless book? No, of course not, but when I give this book 5 stars it's for the simple fact that I do indeed love each reading experience with it. There's no glaring issues with the plot (at least none that I immediately picked up), nothing jarring with the artwork and it's so entertaining that I'm sure many will also overlook the fact that technically nothing big happened in this issue.That said, it is leading to something quite big --HARBINGER WARS! Despite the lack of plot development, Bloodshot #7 delivers an entertaining amount of action that is beautifully drawn. Valiant seems to have lost a little bit of steam after the Summer of Valiant, but there is still much to like about most of their books, Bloodshot included. These last few issues of “Bloodshot” have really ramped up the action and intensity, which has taken this book to a new level. This issue is another strong showing that continues to show that Valiant is focused on putting out quality books rather than flooding store shelves. Read Full Review
It's pretty clear that Duane Swierczynski is building towards a bigger story here. He's developing the character of Bloodshot, and that is definitely a good thing. However, we are eight issues in at this point and our title character is still roaming around with very little direction or purpose. The forthcoming Harbinger Wars looks to put our pale hero on a bit more of a path, but it'd be nice if he'd take a bit more charge in his own series. This title keeps getting better with each issue. While Swierczynski continues to develop his characters, artists Manuel Garcia and Ian Hannin display great work with their chaotic action panels, especially one which shows Shot tearing the head off of one of Chainsaw's goons. Read Full Review
Reading "Bloodshot" #8 is like being transported back to the wildest days of Hollywood's greatest action superstars. This book is full of thrills and awesome moments that put the action before the narrative, though the simmering mystery of this book has its own merits. "Bloodshot" is a comic that lets readers sit back and enjoy while it does all the work. Read Full Review
Duane Swierczynski as I’ve declared numerous times is a fabulous writer making an amazing book since #1 and that remains true here as well. If you’ve been reading up until now prepare for more awesomeness and if you’re just hoping on the wagon then prepare to be intrigued. As far as the art goes Manuel Garcia does a great job matching the action, flow and tone already established in this title. While you will notice there is definitely a different artist on this one compared to #7 and the like, you won’t be disappointed nor is his style so wildly different it’s jarring to the arc’s vibe. All in all just more Bloodshot goodness coming your way. Read Full Review
