Comics Bookcase - Zack Quaintance Feb 13, 2019

Livewire is a grounded book with high stakes, grand ideas, and terrifying threats, and in its pages, Ayala, Allen, and Martin are fearlessly addressing everything from Amandas intentions to her results to the impact of the wars shes waged. This comic is, simply put, compelling stuff. Read Full Review

Livewire #3 is another strong comic in a series that's focusing on one of Valiant's, indeed all of comics, more complex characters; we're three issues in now and I still don't know whether I'd consider Livewire a hero or villain. It's this ambiguity and Ayala's ability to stay in the moral murkiness that's such a strong point for this series, and why this book is firmly lodged on my pull list. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze Feb 13, 2019

With each passing week, we are seeing just how dangerous this world can be for someone who has made an enemy out of everyone. Livewire #3 gave us that anger from a different perspective, and one that we inevitably had to get around to in this series. It's not enough for psiots on the ground or on the run to speak their mind about their current situation. Sometimes it also has to come from someone who hits close to home. Read Full Review

'Livewire' is one of Valiant's most important titles that 'Livewire' is one of Valiant's most important titles because of McKey's role in Harbinger Wars and her impact on the entire universe. Her solo series is exciting and beautiful but full of moral dilemmas. It's complex and thoughtful where the line between hero and villain is blurred. What would you do to save the people you love? For Livewire, that decision has cost her but maintains her dignity. Ayala has made a smart superhero story that's as entertaining as it is emotionally complicated. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Gwen Dylan Stacy Feb 15, 2019

I give this issue a 3.5 out of 5 stars. It was a delightfully different read from what I had currently expected; something that easily challenged me and what I thought I know without being too overly wordy or preachy. I'm not exactly sure what the next issue will bring for myself or Amanda, now that she's confronted her actions from a new angle, but I'm anxious to see how everything plays out. Do you agree?
