This is proving to be a great story arc and it's not building towards anything. There's no world threating danger. It's just an opportunity to build the characters and while some might yell "filler, filler" they're missing out on what's proving to be the best arc of Unity so far. There's plenty more to say about this issue, but you're better off reading it for yourself and leaving a comment below. Read Full Review

The cover art does a great job of drawing the readers in by showing a battle scene (in fantastic detail) without giving away any of the story inside. This is probably the best single issue of garage character development. I was just floored by the fact that no matter how many friends he has, ultimately, he is eternally alone. Read Full Review

I'll be up-front and honest; I have very much enjoyed PERE PREZ's artwork since first seeing his work in the pages of ARCHER & ARMSTRONG, and PREZ's work in UNITY #16 does not disappoint. His clean art style, and ability to draw faces which display emotion and character is on point. Valiant colorist BRIAN REBER (a man who basically IS Valiant's coloring process; I mean, did you enjoy the colors on the last VEI comic you read? Whatever it was, BRIAN likely colored it) brings PREZ's art to life with the quality, dimension, and blending that the master that is REBER is both known and respected for. Read Full Review

Unity #16 was a solid story taken from Gilad's personal life. Though if you are someone who follows any and all stories with the Eternal Warrior out there, you will find that this is just like all the rest. It needed to be something more and rely less on what makes Gilad immortal or a warrior. We should want to now see who the man is behind the warrior. Hopefully Unity #17 gives us something new about Livewire beyond what is known from her origins. Read Full Review

While this installment doesn't offer much beyond what we've seen before, it's nonetheless an engaging and well-constructed chapter. Read Full Review
