Part III of the explosive PLANET DEATH mega-event! Aric discovers the Vine he intends conquer aren't the only race on planet Loam, but will these surprise inhabitants offer him refuge or rivalry? Meanwhile, the Vine leaders plan their most devastating attack yet, one that will push the X-O Manowar armor to its limits and beyond. The stakes are raised and the table set for the epic battle from which no one - human or Vine - will emerge unchanged.
I feel like the broken record of truth, right now. "Buy X-O MANOWAR! You'll love it!" There's a reason I say this book is amazing, every single month because it's one of my favorite reads, right along side ARCHER & ARMSTRONG. This is a fantastic issue that mixes story and brutality extremely well, with some solid art from Cary Nord. There's no excuse to not be reading this series. This should be on your pull list.Overall, I highly, as always, recommend this book. Read Full Review
Aric then decides to take the fight to them in earnest, and learns of other alien races on the planet enslaved by the Vine, and the possible retribution to follow vs. them. He swears to free them all, and take the fight to their frontdoor so to speak, alongside his people. Overall, this was a good read, and I hope Aric wins the day next issue. Read Full Review
The suspense in issue #13, part three of the "Planet Death" arc, goes absolutely bonkers with severed heads of Vine soldiers and wild explosions, all dished out courtesy of Aric. Read Full Review
Cary Nord nails things here, as well. The brushy, rushed look of previous issues is gone and we get clear, defined characters and action. This issue isn't all brutal violence, and Nord delivers on the smaller scenes, too. Aric's anger as looks over the pyres of fallen humans is visceral, you can just see it in his face, in his clench fists. X-O Manowar #11 is just good, people. Read Full Review
Big action, huge events and just full of plainly cool moments, this is more like the title that made me want to try out Valiant in the first place. If it can keep up this level of quality, we are in for something quite memorable as Planet Death continues. Read Full Review

This book continues to intrigue and impress every month. Admittedly, I was not a big fan of X-O Manowar in the old Valiant days, but the rebooted Aric is one of the best characters in the re-launch. This book is revitalizing science fiction in comics, dont miss out on it. Read Full Review
