The American has discovered there is a new superhuman on the scene, and the young man is none too happy to be confronted by a costumed hero, especially not one he thinks is a government stooge. It's a deadly standoff as fire meets fire-almost literally! Meanwhile, there is dissension in the ranks amongst the radicals as Amber Waves' erratic behavior continues to bring heat of another kind down on all of them.
The American Way: Those Above and Those Below has been a ride since its first issue. This creative team pulls together different talents to make this story what it is. I appreciate the parallels between each of the characters and the overt happenings around them. The creative departure in this issue is a sight to behold and certainly contributes to an exciting installment of the series. Theres no telling whats up next, but this chapter of Those Above and Those Below makes me feel as though something incredible, even if heartbreaking, is in store for the finale. Read Full Review
After a subpar fourth issue, this one picks up the pace and cuts out some of the unnecessary dialogue. The art looks better than it has all series, and the story is all coming together. For the first time since the series began, I can say that I'm excited to see what comes next in the final issue. Read Full Review
