A Vertigo Defy Covers issue! Chapter five of Happily Ever After! In the aftermath of Bigbys battle with Beast, Rose Red and Snow draw their lines in the sand, but it turns out sand is a crappy medium in which to draw anything with clarity. In the meantime, Fables begin leaving for the Homelands but is it even possible for them to go home again? Also featuring the Last Story of Cinderella in which the fabled blonde faces her toughest assignment yet.

Unleash The Fanboy - John McCubbin Oct 17, 2014

Fables is certainly starting to shift things into a higher gear as we crawl ever closer to it's end, with Happily Ever After becoming a very exciting tale. This Has Been the Last Cinderella Story also adds some mystery to open, with the continuation from the cover being rather clever. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp Nov 10, 2014

The Camelot reborn storyline continues (even with a sword stuck in a stone) and it seems less and less likely that Rose Red and Snow White‘s battle of wills won't end in bloodshed. As foreshadowing of just that, the issue opens with three pages involving a secret meeting between Snow and Cinderella whose unique skills will apparently be put to the test against one of the hardest assignments she's ever accepted. As for Bigby, with the series winding to a close (and the magic used to effect Bellflower's dagger) one would suppose that someone might come to the conclusion of other forces being at work. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Infinite Comix - Chase Magnett Oct 16, 2014

The stakes of the story are still high, but it needs to retain what little momentum it has left and build from that in order to keep this story interesting. There are still five issues left in Fables and no reason to wait until issue 150 to move the story forward. Read Full Review
