While not a work that affects me emotionally greatly, "Joe the Barbarian" is nonetheless an entertaining and intriguing comic. First and foremost, Joe the Barbarian is an epic fantasy adventure. It is wondrous and tense. Six issue in and Joe has come so far, but the odds against him only seem to mount.
