Overall, I’d say this series has potential. It’s off to a pretty good start thus far, but has just a few inconsistencies. However, those can be fixed in subsequent issues. I’ll definitely be checking out issue #2 to see what happens, and you should, too. Read Full Review

Aliens vs. Zombies probably wont change anyones life, but its a great ride of a comic and a thoroughly enjoyable adventure through genre fusion. Best of all, every page oozes with passion and effort from everyone involved. This easily couldve been a dumb, cash-in project trying to skirt by on a ludicrous name like Sharknado or Aztec Rex, but instead its a well written, imaginative, and excellently constructed work full of energy and enthusiasm for the concept and the medium. Aliens vs. Zombies #1 is not high brow by any stretch of the imagination, and it won't win any awards, but if you're in the market for something fun than I easily recommend this sturdy entry for you. So by all means go out and grab a copy of this book. Read Full Review

This particular issue was not all that great, and it could have likely been summed up by the inside cover paragraph and have the series start there. Still, while this was disappointing, I love the premise so much that I want to see what comes up in the next issue, once the story really gets going. Read Full Review

This issue had an interesting high-concept. It failed to deliver for me on art and I'd have liked to see at least an initial confrontation between the aliens and zombies instead of having that put off until #2. Do you like Zombies but tired of the same post-apocalyptic survivor stories? This may be just the ticket for you. I'm interested enough in the story to pick up #2, so on that front this was an effective #1 issue since it has me wanting to come back to see what happens next. Read Full Review

Hopefully the next issue will help resurrect this story from a mediocre budget matinee into a holiday blockbuster. Read Full Review
