It comes down to this! Calie versus The Trickster! And even if the White Queen gets past the hellish harlequin, she has to face the Dark Queen. Her only hope lies buried deep in the past of Wonderland. But if Calie has any chance of saving her daughter, she might have to pay the ultimate price.

I didn't really understand what happened in this issue and as a result I wasn't emotionally invested when White Queen left Trickster alive or when she went on to confront the Black Queen or even, ultimately, when the Black Queen killed her. Based on the editorial notes throughout it's clear that this is part of a bigger world and this story takes place smack, dab, in the middle of something much larger. I don't know if that context would improve this or not honestly. At the end of this I don't really know how impactful this climax is. For all I know in the greater story they just come back and it's nothing. The grand conclusion to all of this is this: It's a thing that happened and it was written and drawn then published by Zenoscope. The end.
