Although Killer Kobra: The Hunt Begins may attempt to ingratiate a seasoned audience with recognizable faces in order to propel the narrative forward, it is this same reliance on familiarity that makes the story too predicable and seemingly unable to stand on the merit of its own characters, even as inklings of Tyler's tragic past keeps readers interested on how everything becomes one cohesive tale with the hope of engrossing connections. KILLER KOBRA: THE HUNT BEGINS #2 is a clearer, more enjoyable issue than #1 when you realize KK and Chopstick are fighting a campy mission in a campy world.
