ROBYN HOOD & HELSING!
LAUNCH POINT
In this special two-part story, Liesel Van Helsing - genius, inventor, adventurer, lover of scones - joins Robyn's side as the two are in pursuit of a vampire who is turning his kills into spectacles on social media - but with nothing in the way of a lead, they'll have to go to the darkest corners of New York City for answers.
Overall, this is an excellent addition to the series. Marian is clearly growing into a very independent woman, but this issue leaves me wondering, at what expense? Will this new found independence and recklessness with her magic spell disaster for the series' main characters, or will everything turn alright in the end?. . . I guess we'll have to wait to find out! Read Full Review
This is a brilliant example of why I love Pat Shand's Robyn Hood! He alchemically mixes the right amount of action with comedic banter, plus when you combine Robyn with Liesel, you not only get double the trouble, but also double the fun! Who else but those two would feel so confident with each other that they would be able to crack jokes while facing down not only vampire hookers but a succubus too? I'm surprised that Liesel didn't chide Robyn for making fun of the powerful lady with the fangs and wings! Read Full Review

It is perhaps not as bad as some of the stories that have come before, but this issue still represents a step back for the characters and the overall tone of the series. The previous issues show what this series could be, but this issue shows mostly what is has been, a decent series at times, but also one that has never really escaped the realm of being average. There is still some way to go with this series, and hopefully the creative team figures it out, because the characters do have a strong fanbase. In the meantime, readers have to be happy enough with stories such as this one, entertaining at times, but not much else. Read Full Review
