A generational comic book spectical.

This is something epic! Something really special what Scott Snyder conjured! A Batman who feels more real yet so fantastical, tangible yet a spectre of an idea. The art is glorifying and stunning thanks to Nick Dragotta, the Batman design is 10/10 for me and yet the story, the lore, the style of the comics is the actual hero of this comic.

Since issue #1, I've been hooked on this series. It's not just the amazing action sequences drawn by Dragotta that make this comic so great; Snyder also deserves a lot of praise for his reinterpretation of the character.
The new setup for Batman, with his father dying at the zoo and the close circle of friends he grew up with, makes him feel more relatable. It also raises the stakes, as a hero with everything to lose is driven by his trauma to take on a corrupt criminal system all by himself.
At his core, Bruce Wayne is still the same. He doesn't need luxury cars, gadgets, or millions to fight for justice—he just needs Batman... a symbol that everyone can look up to. The parallels between his childhood flashbacks and the p more -
