I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this finale considering I thought the last few issues had slowed down a little too much and that Gotham War completely deflated me.

But they stuck the landing. Rosenberg writes the perfect balance for the Joker, between supervillain, horror movie monster and, well, actual clown. And the final scene was excatly the only way this series could have ended. Best understanding of the Joker as an archetype I've seen in a long time. more
