Bruce smoking a pipe looks so cool he should do that more. Also Batdad is adorable here, super great art, fantastic work from Bill Finger
Featuring the first appearance of Dick Grayson! As Batman's sidekick Robin debuts, learn how Dick Grayson went from circus performer to the Boy Wonder to crime-fighter!
in comparison with superman's stunning debut, Batman's feels a bit more lackluster, however his design is brilliant, and the gritty street level detective is missing from many modern comic books.
The very first appearance of the Bat-Man in the six-page story ""The Case of the Criminal Syndicate!"" This issue also features the first appearances of Commissioner Gordon and the revelation of Bat-Man's secret identity as Bruce Wayne.
how can you even pretend this has aged poorly, superman is coldddd in this. The scene in the road is one of the coolest and most iconic scenes of all time. Just brilliant stuff.
Just really awesome, lantern on lantern action
A CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS tie-in issue! Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner team up to destroy the Anti-Monitor's birthplace--but the Green Lantern Corps discovers the dangers of Hal and Guy succeeding in their mission and head to Qward to stop them!
Definetely am missing something (Currently reading every Sinestro comic) but it was alright. The big reveal at the end was awesome.
A CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS tie-in issue! Green Lantern Guy Gardner continues to round up super villains in hopes of standing against the Anti-Monitor, but John Stewart doesn't agree with this plan and will do anything to stop it!
Eh, boring
Green Lantern attempts to rescue Guy Gardner from the Phantom Zone...but Sinestro shows up!
Alright, there's the payoff, the contrasting ways of operating is so fun to see, Sinestro dressed as a Jester is hilarious, and the rest of the cast just seem to show their relationships between eachother a lot clearer than ever before.
Sinestro has one more trick up his sleeve when he uses the Silver Twist to teleport himself, Green Lantern and Green Arrow to a medieval world! "The Revenge of the Renegade" part 2.
Eh, fun Green Arrow moments, but the factors needed to make this a great comic are missing
"The Revenge of the Renegade" part 1! The former Green Lantern Sinestro sets a trap for Hal Jordan on Earth...and uses Green Arrow as bait!
Sure, the plot isn't the most riveting, but the art is beautiful, Sinestro's return feels deeply menacing, at least momentarily, and the moments between Green Arrow and Black Canary are just perfect.
"How Do You Fight A Nightmare?"
Sinestro is smarmier than ever, and his team-up with Star Sapphire is a lot of fun. Lots of great art here again, but not too much plotwise, especially since Sinestro's return feels kind of out of place.
“LOST IN SPACE!” Sinestro has given Carol Ferris a gem that once again transforms her into the villainous Star Sapphire!
Hey Hal, what's wrong with a black mayor? Also what a drastic improvement not only in art, but in characterization. Hal's ex troubles are funny, especially with her waving some clear red flags, but beyond the gorgeous art there isn't too much happening here.
“FROM SPACE YE CAME – AND TO SPACE YE SHALL RETURN!” Hal Jordan returns to Coast City and meets old friends—and also an old enemy!
Yes, this is the first Sinestro comic in half a decade since his last appearance. Yes, he is a talking car. Don't ask.
ALso a debut of some kind of proto-sinestro corps. Doiby is a lot, and honestly drags this issue down a lot for me. His inclusion just feels so odd.
Green Lantern and the Golden Age Green Lantern battle Sinestro in "Our Mastermind the Car!"
Man what evil shit is Gypo doing to compete with Sinestro's truly "dastardly" deeds. This is definitely the most boring issue yet, but tiny Sinestro at the end is worth it.
Hal Jordan's friends on Earth seem to be in deadly danger from his power ring - but by renouncing his power ring, Green Lantern has played right into the hands of Sinestro!
Sinestro....polling? With his cigar-toting manager? This is lovely and dumb. Hal should find a way around this horrible Yellow allergy he has, because Sinestro keeps playing him for a fool. I love silver age comics, but in comics like Batman, I feel as if the stupid antics can be at least unique or charming, here it's getting a bit repetitive, but I still enjoyed it heavily.
Green Lantern's greatest foe, Sinestro, leads him on a chase across dimensional barriers, until they reach a yellow world where GL's power ring can do nothing! How will Hal Jordan survive this challenge? Also, it's "Zero Hour in Rocket City!"
Sinestro's return! It's fun, it's gimmicky, I liked it
Green Lantern is on trial for dereliction of duty - and his fellow Lanterns are the jury! But he's been framed by none other than Sinestro! Plus, can a boy who finds GL's power ring return it to our hero before he's beaten by a gang of ordinary thieves?
First appearance of the yellow ring, and just a fine addition to the silver age comic line.
Sinestro returns - turning Green Lantern's own power battery against him! "The Battle of the Power Rings" features five more Green Lanterns from strange, distant worlds. Plus, get to know Hal Jordan's brothers, Jack and Jim!
Beginning of my Sinestro Binge, great first appearance, just a lot of fun
Green Lantern's greatest foe, Sinestro, appears for the first time in "The Day 100,000 People Vanished!" And as a former Green Lantern, Sinestro knows every trick in the GL book! Plus: what is the meaning of "Wings of Destiny"?
SUPERSTARS JASON AARON AND RAFA SANDOVAL UNLEASH A SHOCKING NEW TAKE ON THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON! Without the fortress...without the family...without a home...what's left is the Absolute Man of Steel!
