Still doesn't feel like there's enough happening in the character work. But it ties off the arc pretty well. The art felt a bit rushed - maybe because of Syaf's hurried exit. Some of the face detail was weirdly missing.

This whole story doesn't make any sense and it feels like they are making a huge effort to find adventures for the Star Wars characters between the New Hope and the Empire Strikes Back narratives. But they are such good characters to have around, and I have such a great time reading the series that it kinds of make me forget of everything else.

So you're basically saying that the comic is no good, but Star Wars itself deserves a 9.0.

CesarCastanha - Jun 16, 2017

I'm saying the comic takes its characters in consideration and that it knows how to apply what they have to offer in a really entertaining way. So entertaining, in fact, that even though it doesn't find its way into the major narrative it's still worth reading.

That was an unbelievable improvement on the series. The writing is a bit darker, which put the characters in a more nuanced light. And the very strange art of the series finally showed its purpose, as it played its role in the oddness of the story. I'm now very excited about this series.

I felt like this issue tried to attenuate the deeply critical aspect of the serie's satire by making a attempt at a sort of "there's hope" message. It's interesting, though, how it finds this heartwarming hope in the very singularities of the American middle-class way of life. For a series that was once the best satire of contemporary America, this issue pretty much fell to rock bottom.
