I think the entire creative team of Ms. Marvel: Mutant Menace #4 shows that they truly care about Kamala as a character, given the incredible work they've done so far. From the story to the art, to the cover art, it's all been an absolute pleasure to experience. I'll be very anxiously waiting for Ms. Marvel: Mutant Menace #5! Read Full Review
The finale of Ms. Marvel: Mutant Menaceis a beautiful way to reflect on Kamala Khan's journey up until this point, and give her a fascinating path forward as a mutant-Inhuman hybrid. Iman Vellani and Sabir Pirzada did a lovely job of honoring Ms. Marvel's Inhuman and Pakistani-American identity in this issue, while successfully weaving in some exciting MCU synergy and moving forward Kamala's development. Ms. Marvel has had a rough go of it since she died in Amazing Spider-Man, andMs. Marvel: Mutant Menace is the perfect end of Ms. Marvel's first mutant era, as she takes the next step in her growth as a hero and young woman. Mutant Menace feels like one of the strongest offerings for Kamala in quite some time, creating interesting hooks for the character along with a deep dive into the Marvel Universe along the way. Read Full Review
A pretty solid conclusion to a miniseries that really felt more like a short ongoing. It would be cool if Vellani and Pirzada were writing the new NYX book, but I'm also interested to see where Collin Kelly & Jackson Lanzing go with it. As for this, it was good and enjoyable for what it was. Seeing the Inhumans was nice, and I really hope Marvel uses them more going forward, though I'm doubtful.
Well, now we know what her mutant ability is... and that it probably won't ever be activated. Which is good. Less overt synergy with this character and the MCU would be nice after we've seen its worst elements with her death. This mini isn't bad but it lacked cohesion, and felt more like an ongoing jammed into four issues. I hope whatever comes next is allowed time to breathe.
this series wasn't bad, but it lacked focus and cohesion. I wished it could have been better, since Kamala Khan is personally my favorite female superhero of all time.
