I really like Adrian Alphona's art, but issue #7 & 8 drawn by fill-in artist Jake Wyatt won me over. There's something about it that reminds me of expressions that characters make in old school manga, and his style really fits the tone of the book. I really like the student-teacher team-up between Wolverine and Kamala and it was thoroughly entertaining. My only gripe with this issue is that Logan more

IT'S WOLVERINE!
• Kamala may be fan-girling out when her favorite (okay maybe Top Five) super hero shows up for some help, but that won't stop her from protecting her hometown.
• Who is the Inventor, and what does he want with Kamala and all her friends? Maybe Wolvie can be of some help.
• "If ...
• The Future Foundation is all that stands between us and COMPLETE AND UTTER DOOM.
• Sue Storm, Tony Stark, Machine Man and Sam Wilson face the ONCOMING DESTRUCTION.
• A mysterious new member will join their ranks, whether they like it or not. Hint: They will not.
Oh man, what a trippy issue! But what a great trip that was. The visuals creates such a stirring environment which makes you want to question if everything you're reading is really happening (or if it's through the lens of an unreliable narrator). This is as close as you could get to reading Kirby's psychedelic Dr. Strange issues, and this issue is possibly best enjoyed by popping a few L's :Dmore
In the throes of a horrible acid trip, Marcus's grip on reality slips, casting him into the depths of his own past. A past filled with blood and ash. What dark secrets is he hiding? And will he have time to face them before one of the killers out for his blood puts a knife in his heart?
It's 1987. Marcus Lopez hates school. His grades suck. He has no money. The jocks are hassling his friends. He can't focus in class, thanks to his mind constantly drifting to the stunning girl in the front row and the Dag Nasty show he has tickets to. But the jocks are the children of Joseph Stalin's top assassin, the teachers are members of an anc...

I've never been to the south nor I have paid much attention to southern culture (I'm from the other side of the pacific) -- but WOW, this book is just full of that unique flavor and copious amounts of violence that got me truly interested.

What an issue! I love how the new line-up is comprised of geniuses (except maybe for Danny Ketch, who is just average, albeit trapped in a mechanical body made out of Gah-lak-tus swarm parts), only to trumped later in the issue by an even more brilliant mind. The banter in this issue amongst the new FF is entertaining, and the story is just light enough to keep new readers of the ultimate universemore
