A great first issue which after reading further into the series, is a great start. However i must say that i did prefer Conan the Barbarian #1 for how it introduced the character to the reader.

Although not an awful comic it is definitely not my favourite that this series has to offer, it kind of felt as though nothing really happened throughout this book and no plot was really developed upon.

I absolutely loved the story here and so far has been one of my favourite Conan stories this year, however as some other people have stated which i definitely agree with is the fact that so far Menes is a bit of a boring character with no real compelling plot points.
