Admittedly not one of King's best beginning to end stories as things do seem to come out of nowhere; however, it's still a fun ride and not the $4!? show that others declare it. |

Solid King writing, but I couldn't get into the story as much as his other material. |

Story with lots of good content and potential but doesn't deliver the mystery and depth King usually develops well. Still worth a read though as a King completist. Mann's art is gorgeous, but I don't personally care for the issues that Sharp draws. |

This was another one that was a slow burn for me, but by the midpoint, I was hooked. As others have noted in individual issue reviews, chapter 6 was the highpoint of being personally invested in Kara's journey and purpose. King pulls off telling stories of characters so familiar but so different (i.e. Supergirl's attitude and language) that you are left wanting both the canonical world and King's world side-by-side. While it is good for diversity and presentation to see women writing women, this volume, I hope, is a sign of great things when King takes over the Wonder Woman run in the fall of 2023. |

Took me a couple issues to get into it, but once I did, it was worth every moment spent on each page. Gerads art is great, and King captures human frailty, emotion, and motivation as a true storyteller should. |

Beautiful heartbreaking yet warming story putting the best and worst of what it is to be human in the hands, hearts, and heads of those who aren't. Particularly revealing is the nature of truth and lies and the choices we make everyday in order to balance honesty with protecting those we love. Brilliant early work from one of today's best storytellers. |

WTF??!! How time after time does King come up with stories that suck you in. I started reading issue 1 and had to binge the rest. It's a tale reminiscent of Lynch-style filmmaking that is supplemented by gorgeous retro-modern art from Charretier. Fantastic read and can't wait for more. |

Outstanding mystery and story, expertly written and drawn, that carries you from chapter to chapter effortlessly. King has the vision of a filmmaker in how his scripts guide his artists into parallel dialogue and storylines that keep the reader engaged and able to follow complex plotting. Fornes is a perfect companion taking what's been given and bringing it to brilliant life |

Another King/Gerads masterpiece this time joined by Shaner's beautiful art, too. Again, King captures human emotion and nature brilliantly with twists that make it a page-turner to the end. Mr. Terrific's supporting role is powerful and effective throughout. Using the two artists' work to represent the two time periods of the story is an excellent device to keep the reader knowing what's happening as the story phases back and forth. Outstanding read. |

Wow, wow, with a side of wow. Storytelling at it's finest as evidenced by starting with a "oh, let's see what this is about," and a few hours later having completed it. Beautiful words, beautiful pages. |
