It really is a shame that some people don't appreciate the finer things of life. That's exactly what ANXF 3 represents in all the details that its been enabled to. A great book, especially considering the slower 2 issue prologue. In this comic There's action, there's secret spilled, there's something decidedly harmful about the situation. This comic also has kittens! I would like for the characters to have a better harmony about them, even at this point, but that's aside the point that this book is all about good comics.

Traditional old time comics are kinda like fried chicken. You know you shouldn't, but there's something in them that brings a smile to your face. Despite not creating enough dramatic tension until the end and letting the pace suffer (i blame the beginning) from some clunkiness there may be some interesting foreshadowing to the future of this book in this story. For me this book highlights the talents of CDG whose details and sense of action give me a cinematic feel I quite enjoyed. Hopefully the inking will start to pop enough to take the art over the top.

As a first issue this one had quite a bit more punch (both physical and verbal) than I would've thought but that actually helps give the book a good pace. The art is enjoyable, though the coloring was simply average to my eye. Considering this is the 1st issue of a new cast of characters with a new backdrop (Serval Industries) dripping with potential there's not much more that could be done here. Entertaining with lots of unanswered questions hanging in the air. 9+
