"Not Brand X"
• The All-New X-Factor is meant to help people...
• But one of their own has a secret.
• Hint: It's Gambit.
I absolutely love whats being done with this book. It has some of my favorite characters from a great run on X-Factor and introduces, and quickly defines, other characters. There are three spots on the roster already filled, but the intro page hints at three more and while were getting a look at a likely one by issues end, Im still excited to find out who the others are. Between the writing and the art, this is a delightful book to jump onto. If you like your mutants not overpowered and handling not-exactly world shattering events, this is a book for you. All-New X-factor #3 is proof that Peter David hasnt lost his touch since the last volume. The man is one of the most consistent voices in comics, and this book is as rock solid as its writer. Read Full Review
If you can look past the lackluster art and silly cover page then you will find a fantastic comic waiting for you to read it. Not quite the typical super hero book, this one has a focus more on the people behind the personas without going full blown behind the mask reality TV type of book. I implore you to pick this one up if you have any interest in Gambit, Quicksilver, or X-Factor as this series could quickly become your favorite read. Read Full Review
I'm still on board. I still want to see how the team responds when the eventually figure out what Serval is about (especially when Lorna finds out how her trust was broken. Oh man, is that going to push all of her crazy buttons). Peter David has earned enough credit to see what he has to say about corporate run superheroes, especially after this issue. The steam is building, let's see if it can pop the way it needs to. Read Full Review
This chapter proves that the series has something to say and piques your interest in what's to come, but while both art and story are undeniably interesting, All-New X-Factor is still missing the spark of life it needs. Read Full Review
All-New X-Factor just isn't doing anything for me yet. PAD isn't saying anything new or interesting about the random characters he's chosen, and he's just not doing a very good job of building up the relationships between them. The plots of each issue have yet to grab me as anything more than generic superhero fare. And PAD simply isn't doing anything with Serval Industries or what it would be like to be a superhero team owned by a corporation. The characters might as well be getting their missions from anybody. It's clear that PAD's probably having fun writing this comic, but All-New X-Factor is lacking in anything that would make it truly special. Read Full Review
It really is a shame that some people don't appreciate the finer things of life. That's exactly what ANXF 3 represents in all the details that its been enabled to. A great book, especially considering the slower 2 issue prologue. In this comic There's action, there's secret spilled, there's something decidedly harmful about the situation. This comic also has kittens! I would like for the characters to have a better harmony about them, even at this point, but that's aside the point that this book is all about good comics.
Huge improvement from the last issue, Two surprise characters show up and a plot is finally taking shape. Unfortunately, the artwork still smells.
Always good to see Danger.
