this is not a comic i would recommend.
present and past tense jump back and forth for no reason. it tries to be noir, but ends up feeling random and jarring.
the plot is contrived, the story is very decompressed. much of this should have been in the first issue. this is a lot of nothing just spread thin.

not entertaining in the least. even the art seems to have taken a step do more

I keep reading it, because it affects so many characters. Could be true, but isn’t PTSD reliving trauma through flashbacks? I don’t think that was shown in any issue. As a fan of the villains& I’m reading comics just because of them, I don’t think they need to be aspirational, but that’s only my opinion. I understand if people have other expectations than me.

I remember the original from back in the day, it was OK, much like this is just OK. The concept is pretty decent but the execution has two major problems for me:
(1) It is covered in 90s-esque EXTREEEEME stank
(2) It reads like a treatment for film or television, this story, the way they are telling it, does not need to be in comics

"BROS BEFORE HEROES"

Probably my least favorite issue so far.
Nobody seems to grieve about the fact that a lot of heroes died and Harley Quinn is just too
