Wow, the art was so, so ugly that it distracted me from Taylor's juvenile writing, honestly the transition from Redondo to this is just awful. And I just love the part where Nightwing thinks it's a great idea to endanger people IN THEIR OWN HOMES by putting them in the Magistrate goons' line of fire, great heroism there, Tom Taylor, you utter idiot.

This is such a low-effort, silly, childish comic! It's one of the reasons Taylor is probably the most overrated writer in the industry at this point. He tries to tackle very complex issues by coming up with the most juvenile answers. Yes, a lot of the issues Nightwing (or should I say, Tom Taylor, because Dick here is just a mouthpiece for him) brought up are serious and some of them are really ig more

If you like this type of children's writing, that's fine, it doesn't quite work for me. Dick has become a damsel in constant danger, fainting in most numbers. Taylor uses way too much filler characters without really giving them a clear goal, one exception for Barbara. The dialogue with Superman makes a bit of sense since, Clark has been supportive to Dick in various canons.
And I know it, more

This just all feels extremely hollow.

Instead of learning about Dick's great revelation all there is, is some fluff that falls apart the second it is looked at a little more closely.

I thought I would come back for the next not-a-tie-in arc, but at this point it is clear that Taylor does not write a Nightwing I enjoy.

hahahah that was good @Merlyn That explains many things, obviously children are less objective and tend to throw a tantrum when you tell them this, I don't like it. I think most of your readers are 16 years and younger.

fenixalasnegras - Aug 17, 2021

@Amanda T indeed, since returning to work I have been busy and now with the new group translating manga I have become much more selective in the few comics I have read, what I do not like I am discarding completely.
