All-New All-Different Avengers Annual #1

Oct 4, 2016

The stories are very fun and enjoyable to read and watch. Writing the development of Kamala Khan and the punch-lines on the jokes into the stories are their highest fortress.

Avengers (1998) #1

A good way to start a refreshed collection from including essencial elements of the Avengers mythology and a clever storytelling when using the ton of characters into the comic book.

An ingenious story that ties the most emotional moments when telling the story of Steve Rogers dealig with the Paradise Hill siege.

Captain America: Steve Rogers #1

Behind the bold and shocking revelation (which was very well handled in this issue) is a story that opens one of the most important chapters in Steve Rogers life (in his past and his future) or it could become into a bigger catastrophe in a near future. Trusting in this run by the ccomic book writer Nick Spencer is surely, the only way to know that answer. I can understand the frustration produced by the comic and the backlash of the fans, but this was only the opening of a story and believe it or not, the revelation can feed the expectations of new readers annd turn them into new followers.

Civil War II #8

The three points on this review are just a recognition of the beautiful artwork by David Marquez. Because the story on this issue is chaotic and messy when finishing the plot, and it's done in a rushed way that it can be felt like an insult for the readers. And in the top of it all, the decision of incorporing previews of future Marvel events make the insult bigger. It sucks, this ending and this event just simply suck. Fortunately, I've found Bendis going back to his roots in the Iron Man collections and making a good job. But with this issue? Sure is one of his worst works ever. Secret Wars seems so far away from here right now.

A brilliant way of using the Avengers characters giving them some natural dialogue through the previous demons that they had. The story turns out rising up ad becoming more important from the dissapointing #3 issue. The artwork by Francis Yu is perfect for this part of the story. It's wonderful! I think this issue is a way of considering Nick Spencer a pretty strong option on taking the title of "my favorite comic book writer". And I'm not saying this for applying only by this moment.

Ultimate End #5

Yup, it is a dissapointing comic, but to give this issue credit, at least explains the details of the rest of the collection (a great capital mistake of the series in general) and serves as the mercy bullet that the awful Ultimate Universe needed.

Uncanny Avengers (2015) #12

A terrific end of an impressive story arc. At least the good team-work by the Unity squad helps to rise to quality of the issue but it isn't enough to hide the poor subtlety on the hate that Marvel editors feel on the Hank Pym character and the unsatisfaying close on the elements that were keeping up the story (Hulkbuster, and Deadpool reaction on this problem).
