This was a great read. The story along with the art was almost perfection. The first few pages neatly sewed in a plot thread from issue # 1 of Cyborg. The only minus in my estimation were the dialogue and exchanges between some of the characters such as Cyborg and his alternate world mother Eleanor seemed monotone and without individual voices. Otherwise a great summer read.

One of my personal favorite issues. It's a cross between Armory wars and Nate Simpson's Non-Player. In this issue the title seems to be tweaked thematically. the question is no longer if Cyborg's a threat to humanity or someone that could help save it but who or what is the outside force that's controlling his alien cybernetic technology and what are their intentions? Is he being guided by a force of good or a force of evil? In this issue Cyborg is guided into another dimension. And when he arrives there he realizes that this dimension is inhabited by the same virtual video game world that him and his best friend of the past created while in summer camp. His best friend now goes by the name of H8-Bit and of course he trades blows with Cyborg. I'm impressed by how Will Conrad and Semper jr. depicts H8-Bit visor's as it can blink in and out on his face as he powers up and I thought that his pixelating powers were also unique. My favorite scene of the comic is when the two went back to Detroit very briefly. In this scene Will Conrad really shined. The ending was totally unexpected and it had me wandering if Cyborg's alien cybernetics actually gave his best friends his powers and also did it created the dimension in which the virtual world was housed? At according to this issue Cyborg's alien technology grants Vic's all of his conscious and unconscious desires.

This issue is definitely a ten. The art is so amazingly stunning that just about every page should be a poster. My favorite parts are the hologram of Haxaan at the concert and the fight between Haxaan and Ratattack. this is officially now one of my favorite comic runs ever. Ratattack and Haxaan could easily be popular action figures. Also this issue shows that Semper jr. had a plan from the very beginning when Exxy first showed up in Cyborg # 5 wearing a yellow overcoat similar to Robin's cape and just like Jubilee from the X-man. His rap song is named Cyborg and me and the lyrics of his rap compares himself and Cyborg to Batman and Robin. Also in this issue we learned that Cyborg is not a perfect person. he admits that he's selfish. this kind of explains his calm nonchalant demeanor when he found out that he arrived in Detroit 6 months from where he left out. I just can't get over how good the art is in this issue. This is will Conrad's best work so far. I just hope they don't pull him off of Cyborg and onto a higher profile book.
