I can never wait to read the next issue of Super Sons either if it's due to the epic adventure or even if it's just to hear Damian make fun of John's similarities to Superman some more, no matter the cause Super Sons is one of the most fun titles DC has to offer right now and I highly recommend it for any DC fans. Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze Oct 18, 2017

Super Sons #9 brings this story arc to a close and while I was shaky on it at the start, I loved the way they brought this to an end. This story was full of action, emotion, and showed what it means to be a hero when you rise to the occasion. Staring at what looks like the end of the world may stop some heroes cold in their tracks, but the Super Sons along with Big Shot, Hard Line, and an unlikely ally pulled off the impossible. DC Comics News - Konrad Secord-Reitz Oct 19, 2017

Tomasi has finished a great arc of team building and realization for Robin and Superboy. It is as genuine and light as Jon and yet can be thought provoking and complex like Robin. Read Full Review

The story leaves open the possibility of return for the young heroes that Robin and Superboy worked with. I have to admit, I dont really care whether they come back or not. They didnt get on my nerves, but there also wasnt a single character among them that really stood out for me. Read Full Review

We The Nerdy - Aron Pohara Oct 19, 2017

Overall Super Sons continues to be one of the gems and one of the many bright spots of DC Rebirth line. It is exactly what a comic book should be; it is action packed, has humor, great characters, and sometimes enough of an emotional punch without being too sentimental. Read Full Review

So, if you havent picked up the previous four issues maybe wait for the trade paperback. Its good, but Id wager it will read better with a proper denouement, which wont come for another month. Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj Oct 24, 2017

Still this is a bittersweet closure. The boys wonder what is happening on that world right now. They know their friends are locked in battle. That isn't a win. A hero isn't always victorious. So good character moments in a plot that I thought was too convoluted. The art was dynamic and thrilling as it usually is. So still enjoyable. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Scott Shuken Oct 20, 2017

This is a story that started very slowly with a Teen Titans team up and turned out to be relatively simple on the other side of the portal, as well as a little rushed. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Jay Yaws Oct 18, 2017

Coming off an unclear plot direction, the rather abrupt ending and dissonant art make this the weakest issue of Super Sons yet. There are individual moments and character beats that are incredibly strong, along with some amazing visuals from Jorge Jimenez, but it never gets to be enough to make the issue great. This is a book that I hate to disparage, as it's still entertaining and has great potential. Hopefully the creative team realizes that potential and is able to bring the boys back on track from here on out, because I still want to love Super Sons. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner Oct 18, 2017

I'm starting to grow tired of nothing happening in this book.  The charm of the leads can only go so far and by issue #9, I need something a lot more.  That more is not here this month. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Jessica Nilo Alves Oct 20, 2017

An uncharacteristically clumsy issue for Super Sons, with some editorial problems that show through the final product. The abrupt change in artists is upsetting and takes the reader out of the story. Tomasis pacing here faltered, with too much exposition for a final issue. The final page is rewarding enough for this issue not to be such a big disappointment. Otherwise, easily the weakest issue of the series yet. Read Full Review
