All in all, a great start to series that I hope will entertain me for some time to come.

If you haven't picked this series up, get on it! If you're not doing so willingingly, you are on the wrong side of comics. It's original, beautifully drawn, and touching in all the rights ways. It's going to very difficult to wait for next week's issue.

In any case, this issue is great. It deals with Kamala's want to help people, but doesn't shy away from the fact that she (despite her super powers) isn't really all that equipped to do it. So when she goes in to try and save Vic (her shooter from last issue), things don't turn out so well"

There is very little else to say other than this series is good. Read it.

After six issues, I feel very comfortable saying that Ms. Marvel has the wit of Spider-Man, the heroics of the X-men, and a personality that is all her own.

In short, the art is great, story is fantastic. It's been eight issues, and ‘Ms. Marvel' shows no signs in slowing down as being the best Marvel book I've read in quite some time. Yet again, I give it

Again, I can't help but express admiration for the masterful way 'Ms. Marvel' reads from issue to issue. It funny, emotional, and dramatic in all the right places, and it makes me hate that I have to wait a full month before I can see what happens next. It is the perfect comic. It really is.

So, for an eleventh, and unprecedented, time I give ‘Ms. Marvel':

This issue, along with #13, isgoing to be a great start for the third volume of ‘Revival' trades. In addition, for the first time in fourteen issues, I remember who everyone is, and that makes me beyond happy. I'm therefore totally stocked to read#15, though I think one of the reasons is I have a feeling we are going to get to see more of Brent, my favorite character. So I'm going to give this a well-deserved:

Nothing really happens in this issue, plot wise, but I don't care. All the chickens from the past seventeen issues are really starting to come into roost, and it's changing our favorite characters, for better or worse (though worse certainly seems to be the projected trajectory).

With every issue I read of this series, the more I am convinced that this should be on everybody's pull list.

So, I am excited for the next issue. I can't wait to see what Kamala does with her new “pet,” though the Avengers maybe should have thought about how easy it would be for her to convince her parents she has a new bulldog. This may actually make it harder for her in the long run!

In short, it's good, good, good, and I really need issues to come out more than once a month.

Good issue. Good arc. Good everything.

Picking up ‘Trillium' on a whim, and a fondness for a story Jeff LeMire drew about a time traveler being eaten by a dinosaur in ‘Time Warp‘, has really been one of my better comic choices this year. For you more adventurous types, or those who like to get outside of the world of superheroes, this really is the book for you.

And that's the riveting summation to yet another issue of a story that continues to capture my attention. Any comic that ends with a semi-truck full of dismembered body parts emptying out into the road in a middle of a snowstorm is definitely a drama-filled adventure, and promises oh so much more. I cannot wait for next month.

All in all, the issue gave us some much needed back story, and broke up the constant attack of plots that we have to remember and piece together later despite there being a month between each issue. It was nice to slow down and really take stock of the situation for the main characters, but I'm not sure for how long we can catch our breath with Cooper kidnapped by the nefarious Checks! We shall have to see next issue.

The issue ends with a sort of acceptance between Dana and Martha after Dana comes back and realizes that her son had been in danger the whole time she went to go check on Ibrahim (which I'm sure will guilt her in the next issue).Martha recites one of her poems as an ominous set of events play in the background, the most ominous being that it looks like Anders, the murderer from a few issues back, is on a bus and leaving the town of Wasau altogether. It's almost time for volume three of ‘Revival', and it's only just getting started.

My same issues still stand with this issue as they do for other issues. Reading ‘Revival' from issue to issue is difficult. There are a lot of characters, some of which aren't important to the plot yet, but will be, and because of that, it's hard to keep track. Though I'm excited to read the next issue, I can't help but long to be reading it in trades where I can keep better track of what's going on.

I may not have an idea where any of this is going, but I'm okay with that. It's fun to have a comic just take you along for a convoluted ride, and I can't think of one I'd like to do it with better than ‘Revival'. I like Martha exerting more control over her fate, and I love the tense relationships between Derek and Dana, and I desperately want to know more about Ibrahim's struggle with the town's residents. There is a lot keeping me invested in this comic, so I think I'll stick around.

I've said it before, 'Revival' has interesting story line with a million twists and turns, but its best issues are the one's that focus on character development. Issue #17 does exactly that.

As always, I'm excited to see what happens next.

Was the Polish butcher who was mutilated a Reviver because he partook in meat the Check Brothers were sending him? Is a genetic trait? Is Revival happening every where, but it was only statistically noticeable in Wausau? We are just going to have to see, and I for one can't wait.

By far the best issue, and so zany I can't even begin to guess where it's going next. I suppose that's why I like it so much.

This would be a very ominous ending, but instead ‘Shutter' ends a slightly more pleasant note. The chapter closes with Christopher looking for a head for Alarm cat, and ends up crudely drawing a face on a burlap sack. Alarm Cat declares it “absolutely” perfect, and falls into Christopher's arms in a poignant moment that shows that no matter how crazy the world of ‘Shutter' gets, the writing of Joe Keeating in combination with the art of Leila Del Lucyalways knows how to get you emotionally involved.

The stakes are dire, and we'll just have to wait one more month to see how it ends! We'll be sure to be there for the conclusion.

Really, the heart of the story revolves around Nika and William, and how their two worlds (times?) connect. It's full of alien races, intrigue, time travel, psychedelic drugs, and deserves a whole lot more credit than it gets. I'd love to tell you a bit about the story, but it's a bit hard to say after only four issues, but I'm grateful to Halley's Comics for pointing out to me, because it's something new and interesting on my pull list.

So, more questions, and still no answers. We'll just have to see if they are going to ask to many questions before the fans give up, but so far I'm not sure that's going to happen. I am more intrigued with every issue, and can't wait for next month.

Hold tight, kids! It looks it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Essentially, and we won't know for sure until see the movie next month, this series of comics is really an emotional prologue, not to unlike the original countdown series for the 2009 movie is. What we do see that is Spock isn't recovered from the destruction of his planet (nor will he ever be), and Kirk is having some serious doubts about he rules and regulations of Star Trek.

For the most part, I was pleasantly surprised by the first issue of The X-Files. All it needed to be was set-up, and it delivered that with a nice little cliffhanger nicely.

I think I'm starting to get a be cautiously excited about what comes next.

So, even with what I felt was a very abrupt change in the story line, I'm still liking the direction of the series. One wonders if the reason for all these short story lines is that they are all going to weave together in the future. The only way to find out is to keep reading – which I'll certainly be doing.

So yes, the format frustrated me in this issue, but it was still worth my while. I'm excited to see what Lemire has for us in the next and final issue.

So, I must say that I'm still enjoying the comic, it is starting to lack some of the qualities that I loved so much when it was just a big creepy family in Wisconsin.

Now, me and the 'Star Trek' comics are usually almost always at odds when it comes to what is canon, so what I'm going to try and do this time is just to leave my concerns here, not jump to any conclusions, and see what happens in the next issue.

Other than that, there isn't much to say. The new conspiracy to solve is about who is hacking into the old X-files and what does it have to do with Scully's son. I think it's an interesting direction for the series to go, so I'm willing to go along for the ride, though the seemingly appearance of the Cigarette Smoking Man at the end, isgoing to take more than a few grains of salt with me.

All in all, ‘The X-Files Season 10′ #9was an interesting read, but hardly anything to really write home about.

Though I am underwhelmed by this issue, it's still decent, and I think that the next one will provide the closure I need for questions like “why did random alternate universe happen and why does it matter?”. We'll just have to see what Lemire has in store for us next issue.

Would I still recommend ‘Trillium' to other comic book enthusiasts. Yes. Maybe not as whole-heartedly as I did in the beginning, but I would. It still is different enough in all the right ways that will entertain, but it set expectations too high in the first few issues and it just couldn't deliver on it by the last.

View Issue       View Full Review

All in all, the story feels a bit thin, and doesn't seem to add much more detail than what fans have already guessed. Really, it just feels pointless and unneeded. That being said, we're only two issues in. I may be eating my words in short order.

The irony, of course, is that nothing in Khan's story really gives us more of an understanding of the Eugenics Wars then we already did before.

There is only one more issue, though it honestly feels like this could very well have been the conclusion. I have no idea what else they need to tell, but I'll be there for the conclusion of ‘Star Trek: Khan'. See you then.

Essentially, if you're a Khan fan, skip it. If you're not, skip it. If you like the new movies, well… maybe consider it, but don't really expect anything earth shattering.
