On the Mary-Jane front, Octavius was just about to tell her to move on when MJ beat him to it saying “take care”. I must say I'm a little disappointed that MJ hasn't gone to the lengths that Carlie has and instead has just given up, but I guess she thinks shes doing the right thing. We also see the birth of Alchemax in this issue. No letters page again this month which I think is pretty slack seeing as how little comics these days actually have letters pages, Spider-Man was always one I could rely on to have one. Next month is the return of the Black Cat and I'm hoping she rips Octavius a new one.

All in all, I think it was a great issue, hardly any action in this one but the story progresses enough that i feel like it's worth my money but once again NO letters page, I don't know why Marvel seem to have given up on this.

The action was great as Stunner becomes insulted at Spider-Man's use of now having four mechanical arms and literally rips them out !! Last month, I honestly didn't know how Otto was going to get himself out of this predicament with Dr. Lemaze but the way he does it pure genius. I said it from Superior #1 (Spider-Man #700 though….) that this was going to be an incredible story over all and with issues like this one, I still believe it will be. With Marvel also revealing the upcoming “Goblin War” storyline, I can now not become frustrated with issues ending with the Goblin King as this one also does. Overall Dan Slott continues to surprise me and I wait impatiently for the next issue.

The only thing stopping me from giving this a nearly perfect score was……once again no letters page, which Marvel must have just abandoned by now in the pages of our webbed wonder. So starting next month, I won't let that affect my score, as all things change these days. There is after all “Marvel AR” content throughout the book which would make up the score but unfortunately for digital readers like myself…..we cannot access that material unless we go to the marvel website.

Superior Spider-Man #24: Darkest Hours Part 3 kicks off with some serious action this month, continuing straight where last months issue ended at Parker Industries Med-Lab and the birth of The Superior Venom.

All in all, this issue is really wonderful, except as great as an artist as Humberto Ramos is (and he really is) I do however hope they change artists soon, as this look of The Spider-Man world, I've grown quite bored of. If Amazing Spider-Man continues to be as fantastic as Superior has been every month, then I have no worries about the wall crawlers future at all.
