All in all an exciting and enjoyable start to this new arc, and I cannot wait to read the rest and findout if NINJA-K succeeds in freeing the Eternal Warrior and if he assists in apprehending Amanda orultimately helping her evade capture!

All in all, there was little in the way of progression in this issue, and whilst I enjoyed the minor story beats it felt like we were being set up for more in the next issue. Im still a huge fan of the art style and story so far in the series, I just wish this issue was fleshed out a little more.

The final panels setting up whats next for Ninjak and maybe the Valiant Universeasa whole quite nicely and the twist was a nice little reveal, which I wont spoil for you,but it wasnt enough to save what was, for me, a disappointing end to an excitingseries which contained one of my favourite face offs, Ninjak versus Bloodshot. Asthis was a tie in event with a much delayed live web series soon to be aired, maybecertain story decisions will translate better on the screen, only time will tell.

With the final panels showing Aric asking his armour, Shanhara, not to speak and flying off towards the sun, seemingly showing an attempt to return to Earth, Im keen to see how this next leg of his journey turns out!

Bloodshot Salvation #7 marks the second entry into the Book of the Dead arc, which begins in February and whilst I enjoyed #6, and the start of a new storyline surrounding one of my favourite Valiant characters, it is great to see that with this special one off Valiant is still taking Bloodshot in interesting directions and I cant wait to see what is in store for Ray Garrison and his daughter in Deadside.

In short, Kindt and Bodenheim provide a fantastic new arc, for readers new and old alike. Im looking forward to seeing exactly where they take the story next.

Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe #1 is a great opener to the series that will hopefully bring in more readers to the wider Valiant universe, particularly with guest stars throughout the series such as X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Livewire, Archer & Armstrong and Shadowman. Im looking forward to reading to seeing just how well Ninjak manages to face down against some of the more brutal fighters in the Valiant Universe and just how he will manage to outwit the Roku.
