All in all, this issue is fun and does a good job as the first part of the new TRUTH storyline that's taking over the Superman Family of books for the next few issues. It's enjoyable, interesting, and has solid art. Definitely a good pickup for any Superman (or really, DC) readers out there.

I salute you, Team Batman. Robo-Bat Bunny is freakin' awesome.

That all being said, many people love Jock's style and were happy to see him working with Snyder on a superhero comic again, after their critically acclaimed work in Detective Comics, The Black Mirror. For those searching for a traditional origin, you may be caught off-guard, but for those of you who are like me and are liking the direction in which Mr. Bloom is headed, definitely pick up this series to see a little glimpse into the danger he poses to Gotham.

This series is seriously a superstar every month. I, like many others, was saddened to hear that Capullo is leaving Batman after issue #50 for a short hiatus, though I'm excited to see who they pick up to replace him (cough, Kenneth Rocafort, perhaps?). Honestly, as much as I love New 52 Batman though, I'd love to see this entire team up and move to a different book, bring some magic to someone else in the DCU. The other two Trinity books are definitely needing(with lackluster art and a boring story inSuperman and a whole mess of problems inWonder Woman), so maybe they could find a new home there?

Apart from some minor faults, this issue is a lot of fun, and should definitely be picked up by anyone following either the Truth or post-Endgame storylines.

This issue rounds out theTruth arc for this series, though it's springing directly into the next arc, so if you've gotten this far, and you end up liking this issue, definitely do come back for the next installment of the Man of Jeans/Bat-Bunny reluctant partnership.

Believe it or not, I wasn't born in the 1940s. I didn't grow up on Whiz Comics and Captain Marvel's adventures with his family. But in this short, 22-page comic book, the entire team came together to provide a story and experience that actually made me nostalgic for an era I never got to experience firsthand. And for that, I am truly thankful. My biggest criticism by far is that I don't get to enjoy this team's work on a book of this caliber every month, forever, because that, DC, would be the ticket to my ultimate happiness. If you are even remotely interested in getting into the essence of this truly life-changing character, Convergence: Shazam #1-2 are the best way to do it. Shazam!

All in all, I love these characters, and that's why I guess I wanted more from this issue. While the first issue of this series was all kinds of fun, and starred some of my favorite characters, this issue was rather bland (yet somehow kind of sad at the same time) for an ending to these age-old characters. Readers who love this classic team might find some pleasure in powering through this comic, but all in all, it makes for a rather forgettable book to the average reader. Which is unfortunate, because this team really is awesome.

I don't read Grayson monthly. I tried it out when it first started, back after Forever Evil, and liked it, but didn't love it. I'm a huge Dick Grayson fan, but this series just wasn't for me. And though I probably won't end up adding it to my pull list (which is already too big for sure), I definitely am glad I jumped in on this issue and got to enjoy what may very well be the first complete Bat-Fam interaction of the New 52.

All in all, Indestructible: Stingray #1 doesn't shoot for heavy, thematic portrayals of characters, nor does it keep every aspect completely satisfying, but it provides a fun, banter-heavy team book that definitely gets the reader interested in the main series (which, if I'm correct, ended its second volume in December 2014). The art is overall pretty good, and the colors/letters top, which creates for a fun book that is definitely worth a pickup.

In conclusion, this issue isn't bad, and should definitely be picked up if you're reading the entire 5-year series like I am. It feels like filler at times, and seems to have lost the real-world sense that Year One/Year Two had done really well (I mean, are there any people that aren't superheroes still alive?), but it's overall clearly a continuation of the story into the coming war. The art remains lacking, but seeing as how it has since Year One chapter 1, I don't see there being much of a change there anytime soon. All that being said, I'm looking forward to watching Superman (and possibly Wonder Woman?) kick some Amazon ass next week.

All in all, this issue was a pretty solid development in this year of Injustice. I look forward to seeing how this death battle ends up, and even though I know eventually Batman will lose, it's still nice to see him reaching out to literal gods for aid in his everlasting war against the evil Man of Steel.

All in all, this was not a poor issue by any means. Between seductive spreads and constant dialogue-driven progression, the issue felt like an okay start-up for a new arc. It did, however, suffer from unoriginal art and weird dialogue, as well as seemingly trying to push a "mature" feel where it is not needed. For fans of John Carter, this issue should definitely be a pick-up, but it may not be for comic lovers looking for new stories in general.

All in all, this book is a must-pickup. The League is awesome, the story epic on so many proportions, and the art"well, yeesh, there's a 2-pager in there that introduces the second major villain in the Darkseid War, the Anti-Monitor, and it's truly a sight to behold. It gets overwhelming at times, and will have you dying for the continuation immediately, but it's awesome on so many levels. My only wish is that we will get more Captain Cold in the issues to come, and that Clark & Lex will put their at-this-point-rather-petty feud behind them eventually.

So many plot threads, so much mind-shattering"honestly, if you're not already picking up this series, and you're on the fence about it, just do yourself a favor and head on down to your local comic shop. This is easily the bestJustice League arc since the New 52 started.

Overall, this book isn't perfect but is a good first issue. It's nice to see DC begin shifting away from "urgh heavy continuity 24/7" and more into "good stories" territory. The writing/art both seem to be best during action scenes, and suffer during the slower moments, but this book should be a definite pickup for any Hitch/JLA fans.

All in all, this issue was pretty crushing for someone who had high hopes after reading the conclusion of Red Hood and the Outlaws. I mean, same writer, how bad could it be? Apparently bad enough where now I'm debating on whether or not to pick up the second issue, and the only argument I can find for it is that I love Roy Harper and this is the only series I can continually find him in. I wish I could tell all fellow Outlaws fans to rush to buy this issue, but that wouldn't be honest. This is Lobdell at his worst, and I hope to see him get back to his better stages soon, because I know he can write these characters better.

It's getting harder and harder to stick it out in this series. Though he's improved a little bit, Lobdell continues to deliver mediocre performance after mediocre performance. You would think someone who's been on and off writing duties involving these two characters for about four years now would be better-suited to write them, but you would be wrong. His partner-in-crime gives the same quality of art that made the debut issue hard to get through and the second issue such a breather. I don't know how long sheer love of these characters will get me through this series, although I did survive through 22 issues of Red Hood and the Outlaws under a not-so-great writer/artist team, so I guess we'll see.

Though the art continues to be disappointing in basically every non-action scene, and Lobdell continues to be far better at writing 'torn heroes with nothing to lose' than 'practical jokers with weapons,' this issue far surpassed the last three and could be the sign of a series beginning to finally hit its stride.

Lobdell and Medri deliver a pretty typical issue for this series so far. Medri excels in light-hearted action scenes, but doesn't perform well in the more character-driven scenes. Lobdell, the opposite. Lobdell's greatest foe, as per usual, is his incessant use of inner monologues as well as a sense of humor that is every bit as cringeworthy as it is boring. There's not much to say here other than the fact that i'm interested to see how this group of villains that keep getting shoved down our throat will turn out. Also, despite being an interesting enough villain to occupy both the Bat and our lovable outlaws, the character of Underbelly will most definitely not be missed.

If you can tolerate mediocre linework, this issue should be on your pull list. The story is getting good, and it showcases the events leading up to the TRUTH arc. Any followers of this fun arc should pick up this issue, if only to have a better understanding of the plot of this new Superman movement.

There are flaws, admittedly. The dialogue doesn't always sound natural, and the art/coloring can feel a bit bland at times. But overall, this issue exemplifies some of the best parts of this mini-series, which will be wrapping up next issue. It's fun, exciting, and ends on a cliff-hanger that has me excited for the conclusion. Check it out!

All in all, there's not many people I wouldn't recommend this book to (maybe Golden-Age-phobics? Really reaching here). Longtime fans of Will Eisner's classic character will probably love it; hell, even people who aren't fans will probably love it. I mean, I've never picked up a comic of this character, and now I'm already convinced to pull it next month myself, to continue this awesome story.

All in all, this isn't a bad issue by any means, and Spirit fans are sure to come back for more. But, for this reviewer, it seems that this issue failed to match up to its predecessor in almost every way, and I'm afraid it's the last one I'll be picking up from this series, most probably.

Basically, there's not much to say about this issue other than, if you're a big Valiant/Manowar fan, pick this up. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. If you're not, maybe read some other Valiant comics before jumping in on this.
