W0rldtr33 #1

Apr 26, 2023

This book is off to an exciting start and has all of the poignancy and creative energy that made Something is Killing the Children one of the best comics of the last several years. James Tynion IV is in peak form as a writer and W0RLDTR33 is not to be missed. With a top notch creative team, this bound to be on of the best comics of the season.

W0RLDTR33 #2 manages to deliver above and beyond the intriguing premise of the first issue. This book has legs and continues to deliver on the promise that W0RLDTR33 could be James Tynions best work yet.

TerrorWar (2023) #1

Apr 21, 2023

I thoroughly enjoyed this issue and the craftsmanship on display by Ahmed, Acosta, and the whole team. Im hoping that the Terrors - and the forms that they take - slowly tell the story of how Blue City came to be the only remaining refuge for humans in a post-apocalyptic world - and that this premise stays fresh and exciting. Highly recommended!

Fans of Marvel history will enjoy the satisfying conclusion of this throwback story and modern readers will appreciate the way that veteran penciller Alan Davis and masterful color artist Rachelle Rosenberg pay homage to 60s style while making the artwork accessible to a contemporary audience.

Groot (2023) #1

May 3, 2023

This is a well crafted first issue that gives the reader just enough to consider it a satisfying installment while leaving them wanting to check out the next issue - if only to find out if Mar-vell is able to decipher the manifold variations of I am Groot. Also, baby Groot is still freakin adorable.

She-Hulk (2022) #12

Apr 19, 2023

Overall the dialogue in this issue is as consistently strong as its been throughout Rowells run on She-Hulk and I love seeing Andres Genolet have fun drawing the heroes and villains of every stature that make their way into Jens life. This book continues to work and Jen Bartels consistently phenomenal pin-up style covers are just icing on the cake.

In Hell We Fight #1 is the Brothers Grimm told through the notebook sketches of that scary older kid in detention - and its a hell of a fun ride!

Avengers Beyond (2023) #2

Apr 26, 2023

Fans of the Wasp will love her role in this story and the effective and compelling way that Greg Land renders her fight scenes. Hopefully his book continues to be engaging and not just a series of battles predicated on lessons from the Beyonder in service of a future book or event.

Avengers Beyond (2023) #3

Jun 2, 2023

Overall this is a worthwhile read but this book is beginning to feel like lead in for a bigger event that may not hold up as a stand alone story. Greg Lands pencils continue to be the best aspect of this story.
